DIY Spotlight: The Painted Tail

Today we are excited to show off some DIY furniture from Shannon and Cougan, founders of The Painted Tail. They call themselves The Painted Tail because every time they paint, their basset hound, Lilly, walks through and gets paint all over her tail.

This dynamic duo trio started re-doing furniture just for fun, but quickly fell in love with it. They are hoping to have a booth at First Thursday in Fayetteville, Arkansas in September. Their most-used materials are painter’s tape and Valspar paint from Lowe’s.

Keep up with their work by following them on Instagram: ShannonLilly — Cougan

Doesn’t that chevron look great?

The yellow dresser was their first piece, and also their inspiration to paint more furniture.

The kitchen table and chairs were painted Emerald, which is the Pantone Color of the Year. Love it!

We love what The Painted Tail has done so far, and we can’t wait to see more!
