Weekly Finds: Gatsby’s Glory
In case you’ve been living under a rock recently (or just have zero interest in film adaptations of classic literature), the epic trailer for Baz Lurhmann’s The Great Gatsby remake recently hit the interwebs, leaving a trail of champagne, sparkles and heavy anticipation in its path. With the recent success of Edwardian-era Downton Abbey also making waves, it’s pretty safe to say we’re heading straight for a full-on roaring ‘20s revival, and there’s no better way to prepare for the impending revelry than with skinny silhouettes, drop waists and lots of fringe, feathers and beading. Be sure to finish off your look with a few pieces of art deco-inspired jewelry for extra flash. This was the era of excess, after all, so head to your nearest Speakeasy and get lost in the Jazz Age with pieces Daisy Buchanan herself would envy.
